Gary Rechtfertig, Director and Instructor
Gary Rechtfertig, MBA, PMP, has over 32 years experience in Information Technology and Management Information Systems (MIS) including 19 years experience in Project Management. His last project was a $28 million project with 92 people on the team. The project came in on schedule and $1.8 million under budget.
He has gone through 15 software development life cycles. He has substantial experience in Project Management, Software Development, Quality Assurance, Testing, Methodologies, SEI, CMM and ISO 9000 Certification within consulting organizations.
Gary, an experienced instructor, has developed course curriculum, and taught at the Masters Degree level. He has trained PM's for the PMP Certification Exam in 21 classes in the last two and one half years. Also, Gary is currently a guest lecturer in Project Management at the University of Texas - Arlington and has been accepted to teach the PMP Project Management curriculum at Southern Methodist University.
Gary's teaching philosophy is that his next class will be his best since life
is an ongoing learning process.

Mike Whittenberg, Associate, Instructor
Mike Whittenberg, MS, MBA, PMP, has more than 32 years of operations and project management in positions of great responsibility in the US Army and the Defense Electronics Industry. He has two years additional experience as a University Lecturer (Adjunct Professor) in Operations, Logistics, and Project Management. Mike is currently completing his dissertation for a Doctor of Business Administration.
He was Project Manager for the implementation of Enterprise Resources Planning, Product Data Management, Human Resources Management, Financial Management, and Hours Accounting and Payroll systems at two corporate sites. Project completed on time and 15% under budget for a savings in excess of $1 million. Served as a member of the parent company's implementation in Haifa, Israel.
He was the Project Manager for developing recommendations to the Army Chief of Staff to reduce the Army's ammunition procurement, downsize the Military Industrial Base, and develop War Reserve Munitions requirements. Results included: annual (for 20 years) direct savings of $155 million and indirect savings of an additional $111 million, reduction of government munitions plants from 16 to 9, and reduction of War Reserve stocks by 35%.
Mike is an experienced instructor who has developed course curriculum and currently teaches Operations Management, Project Management, Logistics Management, and Operations Planning & Control at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level.
Mike's teaching philosophy is that his students' learning is his highest priority.
